Backerflow is intended for consent-based email workflows connected to crowdfunding campaigns. Operators may use the platform to manage subscriber forms, opt-in status, welcome emails, launch notifications, campaign updates, unsubscribes, and delivery events.

The platform must not be used for unsolicited email, purchased lists, scraped contacts, cold outreach, or sends to recipients who have not requested campaign updates.

Operators are responsible for honoring unsubscribe requests, reviewing bounce and complaint events, and suppressing contacts who should no longer receive email.
