Backerflow is used to manage opt-in subscriber workflows for crowdfunding campaigns. Subscriber information is collected when a person submits a creator form or landing page requesting campaign updates.

The platform may store contact details, signup source information, consent status, unsubscribe status, and email delivery events such as sends, bounces, complaints, clicks, and opens.

Subscriber data is used to send requested confirmations, welcome emails, launch notifications, campaign updates, and related operational messages. Unsubscribe, bounce, and complaint records are used to suppress future sends.
